

Rosa graduated from The Olde Grey Castle High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. She pursued a career in finance through employment by Valley National Bank (Chase Bank) and Wells Fargo Bank. Rosa Greene was one of the first black female bankers in the State of Arizona. She would go on to win multiple awards and be honored many times for her services in the finance profession. Additionally, Rosa owned two different sewing businesses during her career, one of which was named “Unlimited Creations”.
As an active member of First Institutional Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr., she was fully engaged in ministry having served as Church Treasurer, Sunday School teacher and member of the Noon-Day Bible Study Class. She used her sewing skills to design and provide the monogrammed lap scarves used by the FIBC Music Ministry as well as members of the clergy.
In addition to her love for and artistry in craftsmanship, Rosa enjoyed spending time with family and worshiping.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Robin Greene and one son, Kenneth Greene; grandchildren, Ivan Greene, Bruce (Kenya) Greene, Jasmine Davis, Devon (Rachel) Greene, Rakia (Shawn) Blackwell; great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Tatiana, Ashanti, Cameron, Gabriella, Major, Jaxon, Jaden, Jalen and Justin; one sister, Mary L. Jones (Aldana Johnson) and one brother, Junius (Debra) Jones.
A visitation for Rosa will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at First Institutional Baptist Church, 1141 E Jefferson Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85034, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Rosa will be laid to rest in Green Acres Cemetery - Garden of Faith, Scottsdale, Arizona. She was a servant of the community and her church. Rosa was loved by many and will be truly missed.
