Ruby Maxine McCulley, of Tempe Arizona, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, on Sunday, April 10, 2016. She was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, on November 18, 1918 to Clara and Carl Mitchell. Ruby had three sisters, Dorothy, Louise and Lavera, and two brothers Pete and Carl. Having moved to Arizona during WWII, she was a riveter, working on the B29 bombers in Goodyear Arizona. She has also been a seamstress and a caregiver during her lifetime. Ruby raised 5 children, almost exclusively alone. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Marvin, and her daughter Barbara, and 12 grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends. Ruby treasured family and found joy in the simplest of things. She always strived to do the right thing and to see the good in others.
