Shirley was the proud mother of four children: David Ramsey, Julie Buller, Jennifer Maruca, and Mark Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer in 2009. She is also survived by five grandchildren—Travis Ramsey, Christopher Maruca, Brittany Ramsey, Taylor Marich, and Shay Buller—and seven great-grandchildren: Blakely Ramsey, Olivia Ramsey, Ivy Ramsey, Amanda Maruca, Hunter Maruca, Luke Maruca, and Maisie Marich
In her early adult years, Shirley worked in the hotel and hospitality industry alongside her then husband, Warren Ramsey. As a young single mother, she raised her four children in San Jose, California, while also working for Merrill Lynch and later the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office—a role she often spoke of with pride.
Shirley enjoyed gardening, game shows, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially when they were very young. She had a bold personality and a great sense of humor. Her strength, stories, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
