Teresita Acosta Bautista

Teresita "Teddy" Acosta Bautista, age 91, passed away on October 18", 2023. Teddy was born in Miami, AZ and met her soulmate, Tony P. Bautista, in elementary school. They were married in 1949 and moved to Tempe, AZ in 1958 to start their Anthony's Interiors & Upholstery business and raise their family. Teddy worked side-by-side with Tony and her two children, where she met numerous clients, many of whom became dear friends throughout her life. Teddy was a devoted Catholic with great faith.

Teddy enjoyed dancing with Tony, spending time with her large extended family, making lifelong friends, reaching out to so many family and friends through thousands of letters and calls that always ended with "God Bless you, I Love You", crocheting in her later years, and doing what she could to help and encourage others in good times and bad. She had an endearing smile, an uplifting personality, a contagious laugh and would give the best grandmotherly hugs.

Teddy is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years Tony P. Bautista, her parents Jose Maria and Laura Acosta, her brothers Joe Acosta and Patricio Acosta and her sisters Sophia Acosta Trujillo and Micaela Acosta Therrell. She is survived by her two children Anthony (Gail Ferguson) Bautista and Laura Bautista, her sister Lupe (Leo) Acosta Siqueiros, along with 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, November 12th, 2023, at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, with Visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Funeral Service from

12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Interment at 1:00 PM and Reception at 1:30PM.
