Thomas D. Ridgeway, 59, passed away February 21 in Mesa from Early-onset Alzheimer's desease. Born August 4, 1955, in Aurora, Colorado, Tom spent all but the first few years of his life in Arizona. He attended Central High School, Phoenix College and ASU.
Thomas loved Arizona like no other. He knew Arizona like the back of his hand. He was an avid hunter of big horned sheep, turkey, elk and deer and knew exactly where to find them. No one appreciated an Arizona sunset or viewing a family of quail walking by in the backyard like he did. He simply loved being outdoors. He knew every golf course in the area (and every golf course probably knew him).
Thomas was the best husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law ever. He is survived by his wife, Connie Ridgeway; his mother, Irene Ridgeway; his two beautiful daughters, Andrea Ridgeway and Amanda Rowley; his son-in-law Jeremy Rowley; three grandchildren, Anabelle, Christian and Scarlett; his sister, Laura Hunter; his brothers-in-law, Gary Skinner and Ken Skinner and sister-in-law, Sharon Engrav.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Thomas' life at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale on Friday, February 27, 2015, with a visitation at 11 a.m. immediately followed by the funeral service, committal and reception.
Memorial mass is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church. 1534 N. Recker Road, Mesa, AZ 85205.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Thomas' name to help end Alzheimer's at http://banneralz.org/way-to-give/.
