91, passed away August 2, 2011 at the Hospice of the Valley Dobson Home in Chandler. She was born March 7, 1920 in Obion, TN, to Leonard and Lily Comer. She moved to Phoenix as a young bride in 1939. Charlie her husband of 53 years preceded her in death. She is survived by four children: daughters Brenda Hershey, Charlotte (Jay) Stalter, Sandra Kay (Larry) Bryant, and John (Traci) Peterson; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. Ruth will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. We will miss her beautiful smile, her sweet demeanor, and her words of encouragement. Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, August 5, 2011 in Green Acres Chapel of Light followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
