Velma N Murray

After marrying Charles “Ken” Murray, Jr in San Diego; the couple moved to Scottsdale, AZ in the early 60’s where they raised four daughters. While Ken spent many years as an influential member of the Scottsdale City Government in the late 60’s/70’s, Danny worked at the Los Arcos Methodist Church in the day care center “taking care of her babies” whom she loved so very much; she later began volunteering at the White Dove Resale shop, retiring reluctantly in 2015 as a 25+ year volunteer.

Danny is preceded in death by Ken in 2015; she is survived by daughters, Judy Rickman and her husband John; Kathy Davenport; Carol Murray and her husband Michael Mehdizadeh; Lynda Murray; grandchildren, Sara Perez/Beth Pruitt/Hannah Davenport/Francisco Murray-Madrigal; great grandchildren Joshua & Andrew Pruitt, Emma & Charlie Perez.

Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, 1/28/24 at 11am at Green Acres Cemetery when family can attend. Condolences may be sent via www.greenacresmortuary.com.
