

Kaiser, William Joseph (Bill) beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully January 9, 2015 at the age of 92, surrounded by his family. He was born in New York City on May 30, 1922 to William and Ethel Kaiser. Bill met the love of his life, Friedel at a church youth function when he was 12 years old. Bill and Friedel celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on August 4, 2014. Bill proudly served during WWII in the Army Air Corp flying P-47 Thunderbolts to support General Patton's campaign in Europe. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3513. After the war, Bill worked for Nabisco until his retirement in 1980 and moved shortly thereafter to Scottsdale. He was a licensed pilot and world traveler who enjoyed many adventures including China, Norway, Taiwan, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii and much of the continental US. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Friedel, his sons William (LeeAnn) and Richard (Janet), grandchildren Teresa Newman (Mark), Kristin Blood (Joshua), and David Kaiser, and great grandchildren Michael Newman, Taylor Kaiser and Matthew Blood. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert Kaiser. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 18, 2015 at The Springs of Scottsdale 3212 N Miller Road, Scottsdale, AZ. Military Burial Ceremony will commence at 12:30 pm January 20, 2015 at The National Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley (1510 E Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014).
