William (Bill) Edward Likely, 85 and JoAn Marie Likely, 83, died December 31, 2020. Their peaceful passing within hours of one another was very much like a storybook ending, after both battled COVID-19.
At their request, no funeral service will be held.
Happily married for nearly six decades, Bill and JoAn Likely spent the first half of their journey together raising a family in Colorado, where they spent many summers enjoying carefree lake days with loved ones.
Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-1959. In 1963, he began a decades-long, loyal and memorable career with The Pepsi Cola Bottling Company that concluded in 1992, at which point he purchased and managed a vending company until 1994. He was unforgettably passionate and knowledgeable about cars and those close to him knew he always kept his own vehicles in remarkable condition.
JoAn was a stay-at-home mother, busily raising four children and a beloved dog named Bud. Once the children had grown, she began and operated a small wedding gown sewing business called Seams Likely, bringing joy and beautiful dresses to many brides for several years. JoAn loved music and was an incredibly talented self-taught piano player with a repertoire ranging from timeless classics to boogie blues.
They spent the second half of their journey together living in Arizona where they enjoyed taking sunny walks, hosting family members from near and far, and spending time with friends and neighbors.
Bill and JoAn are survived by their loving children; Cindi Lollar (Rex), Carri Havlisch (Jay), William Likely (Sharon), Wendi Thull (Scott); nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchild as well as siblings Fritz Jameson (Kathy), Skip Likely (Barbara) and Gary Likely (Jimmie)
