A funeral service will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6701 30th Ave SW, Seattle, Washington. A reception will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6701 30th Ave SW, Seattle, Washington. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 6701 30th Ave SW, Seattle, Washington.

Our beloved Mother, Agnes Buske, aged 87, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, experiencing Alzheimer’s the last few years of her life. She has gone now to meet the Angels and those who went before her. She was born on January 22, 1937, in Weiersbach, Germany, to Adam and Anna Werle. Coming from a small farm village in Germany, she had a love for the simple life close to the land and nature, friends and loved ones. She dearly loved her husband Harold, children: John, Erwin, Christine and Cindy, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She worked at Boeing in microelectronic assembly and wiring for many years. Mom loved to knit, do needlepoint, and crochet. Even with Alzheimer’s Mom recognized her children and called us out by name. Mom loved to write poetry with rhyme in both German and English, sharing touching poems at special occasions. She always loved us no matter what and taught us tolerance, love for a life close to the land, and respect for all people, including those who immigrated to the US from all lands. Agnes was very personable and loved gatherings of family and friends both in the US and in Germany. She always had the ability to make anyone smile and feel at ease. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband. Family, friends, and others are invited to the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 6701 30th Ave SW Seattle 98126, at 10:00 AM on Friday October 18th to reminisce and honor the life of Agnes Buske.
