

Amani attended Thurgood Marshall and Leschi Elementary Schools in Seattle. He attended Billings Middle School in Seattle for 6th grade before he and his mother set roots in Mountlake Terrace. Amani attended Brier Terrace Middle School and Mountlake Terrace High School.
Amani formed strong bonds with his family and friends. His nature was one of love, laughter, and compassion. To know him was to love him. His larger than life smile lit up even the darkest room, and his sense of humor brought happiness to all those around him. If you were a true friend, he'd give you the shirt off his back.
Amani shared his mother's deep passion for animals and was, in particular, committed to dog rescue.
Amani is survived by his mother, Anna Maclnnes Williams; father, Anthony James Wheaton, Jr.; sister, Leah Wheaton; grandparents, Don Maclnnes, Nicky Maclnnes, and Reba Humphries; uncles, Nate MacInnes, Damon Wheaton, Roneil Wheaton, and Larente Vanga; aunt, Jill MacInnes; great uncles; great aunts; nieces; nephews; and cousins. He is predeceased in death by his stepmother, Stacie Wheaton; grandfather, Anthony "OooWee" Wheaton, Sr.; great grandparents; great uncles; great aunts; and one of his best friends, Justin Pruett.
Amani will be memorialized in a private ceremony on March 21st and in a larger, Celebration of Life on April 12th at 11am at New Life Church in Renton.
