He was the second of six children, raised by hard-working parents. His father, Paterno Nicolas, was a farmer, and Tony spent much of his adolescence helping him in the fields. His mother, Rosario Nicolas, supported the family as a seamstress.
Antonio “Tony” married Milagros Apostol Nicolas on May 8, 1971, and together they were blessed with two daughters. He spent 23 years working for San Miguel Brewery Inc., the Philippines’ largest brewery and producer of the popular San Miguel Beer. On July 20, 1988, the family migrated to the United States and settled in Seattle, Washington. Tony began a new chapter in his career as a houseman for various Seattle hotels, later transitioning into security work for companies such as Pike Place Market and Seattle City Light. He retired in 2011.
A dedicated, strong-willed husband and father, Antonio lived a full life surrounded by his loved ones. He will surely be missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his two daughters, Myla and Aileen, his son-in-law, Rudy, and his granddaughters, Alana and Maya.
