Betty was born in Grygla, Minnesota, one of 9 children raised on the family farm near Goodridge. She attended cosmetology school in Minneapolis then moved to the Pacific Northwest. Married to Asa W. Thompson in 1949, she was the owner of beauty salon “May Esther’s” on Phinney Ridge until retirement. She is survived by her two daughters, Lorrie (Peter) and Cindy (Ed) and many dear nieces and nephews. Betty requested no flowers; donations to St. John’s United Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice. Thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Providence Mount St. Vincent.
