出院後Labor Day Long Weekend 全家陪我到Hilton    head island 渡假靜養Stella ＆Amy方告知惡耗，讓我無法接受你就這麼無聲無息走了。秋錦你總是報喜不報憂。你的大愛將永遠留我們心中。正英、小芬、小蘋及家人你們千萬節哀。

Dearest Chin,

Your generosity and beautiful smile always made me feel so loved.  Your warmth gave me a sense of belonging. I cherish the many kind gestures you’ve shown me throughout the years.  Every meal you made me was like Thanksgiving. 

I’m grateful and feel privileged to be your son-in-law. Thank you for making my life brighter with your love, Chin.  Goodbyes are not needed as you will be forever in my heart.

I remember 30+years ago, I was still a graduate student ,came to Seattle visit auntie Chen  (張阿姨）At that time we took a picture together, that photo was kept with at house and later become the reason I would meet my husband Rocky and become member of your Phan family.  How fortunate to Know your mom become my life journey turning  stone way.
I remember when my parents visit me from Taiwan,  your parents would took them to eat out, sightsee ,and go Casino. I will always cherish the fond memories our family had with  her.   Your mom was such a cheerful , generous, and supportive elderly, she will always live on in my heart. 
Your mother's love will forever be a part of who you are. Holding you in my thought and prayer.

Roger and I had fun cruising with Alan and Chin October 2010.  I have many good memories of Chin.  She was the kindest person.  She had the prettiest smiles.  She was fun to be around.  She loved and cared very much for her family and relatives.  I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to talk to her on the phones twice most recently.  I love her and miss her.
