George Harry Cook Jr., age 88 passed away on Saturday, July 6th, 2019. He resided in Lake Forest Park, WA for the last 60 years. He was born in Seattle, WA Nov 1st, 1930 to George Harry Cook Sr. and Julia Haller Cook. He received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1952. He served in the Air Force as a reconnaissance pilot from 1952 to 1956 and in the Reserves from 1956 to 1965, and was a Korean War vetran. He received his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1965. He worked for 37 years at Honeywell as a Mechanical Engineer. He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Eileen Scott and Julann Wolter. He is survived by his daughter Susan Gevaart, son James Cook, daughter Marcia Christen and the mother of his children, Jean Cook along with 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was a generous, giving man who loved to contribute to other’s happiness. He will be greatly missed.
