Heather Rachel Smith

Heather Rachel Smith, at the age of 35, passed from this earth into the arms of angels on June 14, 2010. Predeceased by her father Donald C. Smith, Heather lived her life in Seattle with her devoted mother, Carol J. Smith. Heather was a proud graduate of Chief Sealth High School in 1995 and worked for a time as a volunteer for Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. Blessed with a fun and adventurous spirit, Heather loved traveling, especially to Disneyland. She enjoyed an active life, including participating in the Seattle Parks Special Programs for many years, swimming in the local Special Olympics, taking walks and shopping. Heather’s loves were chocolate chip cookies, watching wrestling-mania on television, her dear friend Michael Kennedy, her pet cat Kimi and her dog Sydney. Heather will be remembered for her quiet determination, independent nature and mischievous sense of humor. She remains in the hearts of her mother, Carol J. Smith, her brothers Doug and Walter, her sisters Kathy and Chris, and her niece Alana. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Heather’s life on Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 6701 30th Avenue S.W., Seattle, 98126. A visitation will be offered at 12:00 PM, with a memorial service at 2:00 PM. There will also be a reception following the memorial service.
