

He is survived by his daughter, Carmen Pedersen and three granddaughters; Tara, Tonya and Renee. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Issak, Alfonso and Arthur as well as his sisters, Dora and Maria.
Henry joined the US Army in 1950 and served as a cook. He was honorably discharged in 1952 with the rank of Sergeant.
Following his military service, Henry moved to Seattle and served as a cook at the downtown YMCA cafeteria for many years. He eventually opened his own restaurant called “The Cookery Co.” on 4th and Jackson St. Henry went to work as an Executive Chef with the Boeing Company and retired from there after more than 10 years.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 10:00 am -1:00 pm at Acacia Funeral Home, Seattle, WA. A Celebration of his life will be held on that same day at 1:00 pm. A private family interment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
Henry’s stories and sense of humor will be missed by all.
