Jill Kathleen Morrill, age 48, passed away at her home in Seattle, Washington, on February 20, 2021. She was born in Seattle on March 1, 1972, to Judith Ann (Johnson) and Roger Kent Morrill. A 1990 graduate of Shorecrest High School, Jill initially pursued a retail career, earning a degree in Merchandise Marketing from FIDM in 1994 and serving in retail management positions that spanned Nordstrom, Crabtree & Evelyn, and San Rio.
With her mother’s illness and death in 2009, Jill found her calling. She began volunteering and later working as a caregiver, earning a degree in Nursing from Shoreline Community College in 2015 and a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Washington in 2016. As an R.N., she lovingly cared for patients at Providence hospitals 2016 – 2020, followed by EvergreenHealth Hospice 2020 – 2021.
Jill never met a stranger. Her gentle spirit, quiet faith, contagious laughter, big heart, and unwavering friendship touched the lives of everyone around her. She especially delighted in her niece and nephews; Auntie Jill’s generosity, love and joy will have a lasting and profound impact on each of them.
Preceded in death by her mother, Judith, Jill is survived by her father, Roger (Marlene), her brothers, Kevin (Danielle) and Jon (Angela), her niece, Isabella, and her nephews, Matthew and Daniel. Their love for each other runs deep.
Following a service on Thursday, March 4, 2021, Jill will be laid to rest at Acacia Memorial Park. A livestream will be broadcast for Jill’s many friends who are unable to join in person because of health safety restrictions, and a celebration of life event will follow later in the year.
