

Jose Malong Baquiring Sr., beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away leaving behind a legacy rooted in resilience, generosity, and unwavering love. Born on April 12, 1936, in the Philippines, the son of the late Valerio Baquiring and Cresencia Malong. Jose was the eldest of five siblings, Aurora, Renato, Jaime and Marcelena; and embraced the responsibility of being a guiding pillar for his family from a young age.
On August 21, 1957, he married the love of his life, Josefina Baquiring. Together they built a beautiful life grounded in devotion, hard work, and faith, and were blessed with eight beautiful children; Teddy, Nery, Noerma, Juliet, Marivic, Jose Jr., Florida, Ricky and Jocelyn; 25 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren who adored him deeply.
Jose’s journey through life was marked by ambition, perseverance, and an unshakeable positive spirit. Growing up as the primary provider and breadwinner, he took on every challenge with determination. His drive led him across countries and industries—from working overseas in Vietnam in 1965, to returning home to establish a private contractor business, and later to Saudi Arabia where he worked skillfully as a crane operator. No matter where life took him, he carried with him the values of sacrifice, dedication, and service to his family.
Those who knew Jose will remember his joyful presence, his boundless energy, and the storytelling that transformed simple memories into powerful lessons. He often shared stories of hardship and the times he was underestimated, not with bitterness but with pride—proof of how every challenge became fuel for his success. His words inspired generations to push through adversity and believe in their own potential.
Even in his final days, Jose remained a visionary. He continued to dream, to plan, and to imagine new business ventures—always eager to create opportunities for his family and encourage them to pursue greatness. His spirit was one of endless optimism, hope, and empowerment.
Jose lived a life defined by love, courage, and selflessness. He was a provider, a mentor, and a joyful soul whose legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched. His family finds comfort in knowing that his stories, his lessons, and his example will echo through generations.
He will be profoundly missed and forever honored.
