

Julia Norman Krick, a longtime resident of Lake Forest Park, Wa. died Tuesday the 28th of October at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, Wa. Born in 1912 in Baltimore, Md., Julie’s life was one in which the company of close friends, involvement in civic and church activities, and the welfare of her family were paramount. As the wife of a career U.S. Navy officer, Julia was heavily active in the Navy Officers Wives Club, a commitment that continued well after her husband’s retirement. She continued to play a role in shaping her community and was elected in 1979 as the first lady president of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce. She also served on the Shoreline Historical Museum Board, the Lake Forest Park Planning Commission and was an active member of her parish, St. Mark Catholic Church.
She is survived by daughters Katherine of Winter Springs, Fl., and Margaret and Elizabeth of Kenmore, Wa., as well as a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband Capt. Donald F. Krick, USN Ret., daughter Julia Waring Krick, sisters Kathleen and Eleanor, brothers John and Robert, and grandson Lt. Patrick Sean Myrick, USN.
A Requiem Mass will be said at St. Mark Catholic Church in Shoreline on November 5 at 11:00 AM. Guests are welcome to say the Rosary before Mass beginning at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow the Mass at the church.
