Mom left us on 3/9/2022, just three months shy of her 98th birthday. She joined her loving husband Frank, oldest child Carol, youngest child Gary and twelve dogs. She is survived by her two remaining children, Kathy Lind and Glen Dizard, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
June grew up in Seattle, attended Lincoln High School, and married shortly after. A year later dad joined the Navy during WWII and their first child was born while he was gone. She moved back home with her family for the next three years while he was in the Pacific. During this time she worked, raised Carol and waited for dad to return. Once home, their real life began. They built their first home and had three more children – the “American Dream”.
Mom almost always worked. She started University License Agency and became her own boss in 1972, a business that is still family-run today. She was the original Supermom – a multi-tasker, calm presence, and a woman with many talents.
June and Frank spent their senior years snowbirding in Mexico and Yuma, Arizona. As successful as they were, they both said the best part of their lives were their children and their extended family.
Services will be held on March 23td at Acacia Memorial Park.
