Le Van Ngo, 83, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2017 surrounded by his family in SeaTac, Washington, US. Le was born in Viet Nam on August 17, 1933. As the oldest child in the family, he worked hard to support his mother and his younger siblings after his father's premature death. Le served in the South Vietnamese air force at the rank of a colonel and had come to the U.S. for training. After the war, like many others served in the South Vietnamese Government, he was sent to the labor camp. In March 1990, he and his family were accepted for settlement in the U.S. under the HO orderly Departure Program for Former Re-Education Center Detainees. Shortly after arriving in the U.S., Le accepted Christ and attended the Thien An Baptist Church in Seattle. Later on, he moved to Austin, TX and continued to worship the Lord in the Vietnamese Alliance Church of Austin. His favorite Bible verses are “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing” (Psalm 23:1) and “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). In addition to his wife, Bay Nguyen, Le is survived by four of his children: eldest son Nghia Ngo and wife Trinh Lam, granddaughters Vivian, Veronica, and grandson Vincent; daughter Hanh Ngo and husband Minh Lai, granddaughters Hannah and Mina; daughter Durene (Dung) Ngo and husband Minh Huynh; son Hieu Ngo and wife Huong Le, granddaughters Hanna and Hanny. Le is a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and a man of faith in the family!
