

Leora was born April 30, 1918 in Vancouver, WA to parents Charles R. and Jessie Jane Starr. She passed away November 3, 2011 in Edmonds, WA in a loving and compassionate Adult Family Home. She was a creative, generous and hardworking woman. Her many accomplishments in life have touched the lives of thousands. In the mid 1960s she was instrumental in bringing Enterostomal Therapy to the west coast. A talented painter, her beautiful works of art will forever stay in the hearts and homes of her family. She was an avid reader, a remarkable cake decorator, a sponge to new topics and interests. Her greatest love was her family who she devoted her life to.
Leora was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold R Smith, with whom there was never a dull moment. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Crow (Wally) and Eleanor Pierce (Richard), five granddaughters and eight great grandchildren.
Her strong courageous spirit, deep faith in God and beautiful sense of humor will live on in the hearts of the many that knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Richmond Beach Congregational Church UCC 1512 NW 195th St, Shoreline, WA 98177 at 2PM.
