

Mary H. Cook, age 83, passed away comfortably on Monday, October 25, 2017, at Highline Medical Center in Burien, Washington. She was born on November 4, 1933 in Garland, Arkansas, to the late William and Verna Robinson. She married Ernest T. Cook on February 6, 1950, in Tucson, Arizona. As a young couple with two children, she and her husband migrated to Seattle, Washington to raise a family. Mary was married for twenty-two years before the passing of her husband in 1972. She was the longest living resident in High Point Project for sixty-three years. She also worked for Boeing, Hill’s Brothers Barbecue and the High Point Housing and Daycare Center. Some of her interests included: bingo, dominoes, and cards. She loved to cook and feed everyone. She will truly be missed. She is survived by her two sons, Ernest T. Cook Jr and William Cook; sister, Vernice Hawkins; nieces, Joeann Henderson and Janelle Pughsley; Nephew Jim Pughsley (Joanne); her best friends Marie Lambert and Mary Steele and families; and the countless others whose lives she touched. Those who preceded her in death include her beloved husband, Ernest T. Cook Sr and Grandchild Tamera Lita Cook.
