Nancy was born November 12, 1929 in Lanxi Xian, Zhejiang Province, China. She fled China to Taiwan during the civil war, where she trained to become a nurse and midwife. In Taiwan, she met and married Tsai Hsu. They both immigrated to Seattle in 1955. Nancy was a gifted labor and delivery nurse for over 35 years at Providence Hospital in Seattle. She was very proud of her role there - appreciated for her expert, steady hand and consistent friendliness. She was known for being able to turn an en route baby from a breech to head-first position. Nancy is survived by her four children: Raymond, Larry, Clara, and Terry, and preceded by her husband Tsai.
