Norman was known by family and friends as being a generous and thoughtful man. Norman passed on October 10th, 2014 in Palm Desert CA. at the age of 95. Norman was born to Sam and Abbie Ginsberg in 1919. In Norman's early days he was known for his athletic ability and played basketball and baseball for Broadway High School. Upon graduation he went on to play American Legion baseball with notable teammates Fred Hutchinson, Dewey Soriano and Emmett Watson. Prior to hanging up his baseball cleats, Norman managed in the Northwest Baseball League for the Mount Vernon Milkmaids in the early 50's and along with his first baseman Al Brightman (former Seattle University Basketball Coach) was co-responsible for the famed O'Brien twins (Johnny and Eddie) moving to Seattle. Among Norman's professional accomplishments was the founding of Normandee Rose Sportswear which he owned and operated with family members from 1975 until 1986 when he retired and along with his wife Delores moved to Palm Desert. Delores passed in 1989. Celebrating Norman's life are his two sons and a daughter, Randall and his wife Eleanor of Palos Verdes Estates CA., Ronnell of Seattle and Sue (and Paul)Wilson of Concord CA. along with six grandchildren and five great grandchildren for whom Norman loved and adored. We will all miss Norman's sense of humor along with his infectious and charming personality. May he rest in peace alongside Delores. Remembrances may be directed to Swedish Hospital.
