Peggy Pauline Smith

Peggy Pauline Linton Smith was born on December 25, 1928 in Van Nuys, CA to Ernest and Essie (Walters) Linton. She grew up in the Los Angeles area and married Walter “Smitty” Eugene Smith, Sr. on October 25, 1946 at the Church of the Little Valley. She and Smitty finally settled in Pismo Beach, CA where they raised their family. Smitty preceded her in death on November 22, 1987. In 2004 Peggy moved in with her daughter, Donna, and lived with her till her death on February 6, 2011 at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Smith; son, Walter E. Smith, Jr.; sisters, Naomi Hubert, Coleen Halloowa, Marlien Hartman, Josephine Kees; brother, Franklin Moore; and grandchildren, Kenny Smith, Keith Smith, Sean Smith, Walter E. Smith III, Desire Smith Clarke, Jonathan M. Smith, Bryan Eugene Smith.

Please join in celebrating Peggy’s life on Sunday, February 13, 2011 – 2:00 PM at the Marshall Spoo Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Grover Beach, CA. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 – 9:00 AM at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery in Arroyo Grande, CA.
