

Robert Brown Murray was a single child born to the proud parents of Emerson James Murray and Irma Neddy Murray on January 24, 1922 in Tacoma Washington. Robert died October 6, 2011 at Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma, Washington, surrounded by family.
Robert is survived by his wife Agnes Murray of 60 years 11 months of Des Moines Washington; Children Robert Michael Murray, Carol Harpole, Joanne Paquette, Patrick Murray, Thomas Murray and was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Robert “Bob” graduated from West Seattle High in 1941 and went directly into the Army. In 1946 he returned home and attended Seattle College while working for the City of Seattle then became an auditor for the IRS. In the early 60’s he and Agnes opened their own Chicken Delight Restaurant in Burien, WA which they ran until they closed the restaurant in 1970 when Bob began working for the State of Washington Dept. of Labor & Industries. Bob retired in 1981 and was able to spend many years traveling with Agnes.
Bob enjoyed collecting and reading books, giving back to his community as a block watch volunteer and spending time with his family.
