Affectionately known as Rick, Bob, Bobby, and Paco, Robin Peter Richelsen of Seattle, Washington passed away on November 17, 2016 at the age of 70. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Rick spent parts of his life in Washington State, Minnesota, and sailing the seas as a Navy sailor. He was married to Jane Richelsen (Shuhart) on August 24, 2002 atop a glorious mountain. Rick was a wonderful artist and worked professionally as a graphic and kitchen designer. He had a passion for mountain hiking, kayaking, and biking. He spent a diligent year handcrafting his own beautiful cedar kayak. He had a fondness for Irish music and jazz. But most of all, he loved hanging out with family and friends and enjoying a “cold one!”
In addition to his wife, Jane and sister, Andrea Deninger (Guy), he is survived by his two children—Holly Marvin (Patrick) and Christopher Richelsen (Magda); two step-daughters—Dorothy Kim (James) and Michelle Peterson (Kevin); and nine grandchildren—Ava, Dillon, Caitlyn, Griffon, Andreas, Taylor, Zachary, Mackenzie, and Michael.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Andreas Richelsen and his mother, Rita Marie (nee Ohl) Richelsen.
