Shirley J. Bell was born in Seattle, Washington, at the old Maynard Hospital on May 16, 1932 and passed away in Seattle, Washington, at Providence Mount St. Vincent on September 16, 2010. She was a 1950 graduate of Cleveland High School. Shirley met the love of her life, Howard R. Bell, at Southgate Roller Rink where she was a competitive roller skater and then a judge. They married on June 14, 1950. Shirley will be greatly missed by her daughters Henrietta (David) Stensgaard, Cindy (Juan) Campos and Pam (Rick) Thompson; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery. 6701 30th Ave SW, Seattle, Washington 98126. A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon, a Funeral Service begins at 1:00 PM, with the Graveside Service to follow at 2:00 PM, when Shirley will be placed in with her beloved husband.
