

Stephanie Jean Olafson, born January 15, 1973 in Seattle, WA passed away on November 9, 2010 at the age of 37. Stephanie grew up in Mill Creek WA, attending Silver Lake Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School and Cascade High School before moving to Camano Island graduating from Stanwood High School class of 1991. Stephanie was a "people person" and made friends where ever she went. She held a variety of positions including that of a classic rock radio show producer, sales manager for a satellite Communications Company, sales manager for a national knife (SOG) company, and administrative assistant and event planner for non-profit foundations and charities. She lived in Seattle, Denver, and San Diego before returning home to Camano Island and Everett WA. She enjoyed water sports, dancing, traveling, working with children and spending time with her loving family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Vern Olafson (Marlene) of Bella Vista, AR and Kathy Olafson (Orvil Desgranges) of Kennewick, WA, brother Michael Olafson (Traci) of Fairfield, MT, nephew Cole Olafson of Everett, WA, grandmother Joyce Komorek of Kennewick, WA, godfather/uncle Carson Olafson (Dorothy) of Yakima, WA, goddaughter Barrett Anderson of Stanwood, WA, Aunt Ruth Hubbard (Dale), Kent, WA, Aunt Terry Kuhlmey (Harry), Kent, WA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held on December 4, 2010 at 1:00PM at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
