To my wonderful sister-in-law and sister. I've known Violet when we lived in Ketchikan, Alaska.  I first met her when she was 10 years old.  I was coming home from school that day. I've been gone for awhile going to school In Everett, Washington for a year. 
       What I did not know that she was having a birthday party that same day that I was coming home.  We did not live to far from one another. She had invited the same kids to the party that I had already known. Some how the kids knew that I was home and they all fled out of Violet"s house and left the party to see me.  They all came a running and in that bunch of kids was Violet.  She came running in the middle sticking her little finger at me and had said that I had reck her "Birthday Party". And from that day on kept on blaming me.  And in a few years later I married her brother Jim.  She said that she gave him to me.  So, we have been friends for along time and she will always be My Best Friend and Sister.  Rest in peace Violet I'll see you again, Love always Michele
    

Violet was a Mother that supported her three children in every way to the end.
She is remembered as child caretaker for several years, and has many happy memories of the children she cared for.
Violet showed her love to so many,, but the love of her life arrived in one Bob Ganung.  She and Bob shared many happy and loving memories together. The Fugate Family shared love and the highest degree of respect for Violet.  She set a perfect example of what a strong Mother should be, and we loved her immensely. She will be missed.

Violet was a good friend and very important to our family.  When she had her day care all three of our kids went there at one time or another.  Starting with Tyson and Ben and later Sara.  She's responsible for bringing my wife, Darlene and I together by getting me to join Parents Without Partners.  Darlene and I have now been married for over 30 years.  In fact we actually got together at a house party at her house.  We will always be grateful for her doing that.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend her service as we will be out of town at that time.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.  Steve and Darlene Beck 

I’ll never forget all the laughs we had together working at “the Dish” together.   Who knew when you were working with friends how much less like work it would feel.    
She will be missed by all.
