Virginia Parker (Ginny), age 94, left this world on August 31, 2013. She was born in Caldwell, Idaho. Ginny and her siblings moved to Seattle in 1929. She attended University Heights Elementary, John Marshall Junior High and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Ginny married Ray Norman in 1946. Following Ray’s death in 1973, Ginny married Bob Parker in 1977. They were regular travelers to their summer retreat near Mt. Baker, and Palm Desert in the winter, until Bob’s death in 2002. A ten year resident of the Parkshore retirement community, she was an enthusiastic bridge player and enjoyed many friends. She is survived by her three children, Jeff, Rich and Nancy, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Verna Buttke (Phoenix) and Fayne Loew (Seattle). Memorial donations can be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
