

Vivian was born Oct. 9, 1911 in Nogales, Arizona Territory, before it became a State, to Jim and Mary Louise (Billings) Reagan, who were both from pioneer Texas families. Vivian’s great, great grandfather, Andrew Kent, died while defending the Alamo in March 1836.
Vivian was raised in Patagonia, Arizona and graduated from Patagonia Union High School where she lettered in basketball. She married Presley Lewis Cheshire in 1932 in Nogales where his father was mayor and had the Chevrolet dealership. Vivian and Presley moved to Yakima in 1941 where he was the Pontiac dealer. They belonged to the First Presbyterian Church. Their 3 children were raised in Yakima and graduated from Yakima High School. They then moved to Seattle in 1958 where Presley worked for Investors Diversified Services where he retired.
They came to Spokane for a few years in 1973 where they both managed San Souci mobile home park before moving back to Seattle where they had a home.
Vivian enjoyed gardening with her flowers, playing bridge with her friends, and oil painting . Her favorite pastime was traveling in their motor home and leading the Seattle Shrine Club on several trips down through Mexico. Vivian and Presley were the group leaders since they both spoke fluent Spanish. She also enjoyed getting together with her children and grandchildren, especially for the annual family reunions held at various resorts around the Pacific Northwest. Presley predeceased Vivian in 1996 after 64 years of marriage. Vivian moved to Spokane in 2000 and lived at Fairwinds Retirement Home. She then moved to Richland in 2007 and lived at Alterra (now Wynnwood) Retirement Home. After moving out of Seattle, Vivian’s family purchased a condominium in Seaside, Oregon where she continued to visit several times a year. The family graciously offered the Condo for other relatives to use.
Vivian is survived by her children, Presley Wayne Cheshire (Gail) of Portland OR, James Lewis Cheshire (Diane) of Richland WA, and Barbara Louise Hooper (Hal) of Spokane WA. And grandchildren, Presley Michael Cheshire of Seattle, Chuck Cheshire of Vancouver, Leslie Underwood of Seattle, Brian Cheshire of California, Jeffrey Cheshire of Richland, Heather Poff of Richland, Kelly Wilcox of Spokane, Kerry Nelson of Spokane, Ken Hooper of Bakersfield, California, Cary Cheshire of San Diego. And great grandchildren Ian, Anna Liisa, Christopher, Bradley, Stacy, Daniel, Ryan, Tyler, Blake, Megan, Mackenzie, Avery, and Landon, great-great grandchildren, Sierra and Cameron.
