Wayne was born 16 November 1953, in Seattle, WA. The son of William Turner and Marion Hanson.
Wayne was a high school student with the class of 1972 and shortly after ventured out to Hawaii as a tugboat worker and onto Alaska to be a boat worker and fisherman. Wayne settled in Washington state, working onboard the Washington State Ferries and spending the majority of his years with the Sailor’s Union of the Pacific as a Merchant Seaman. He enjoyed putting in a hard day’s work and being able to travel to and explore foreign countries with the SUP.
Wayne especially loved taking his Harley Davidsons out on the open road, fishing – especially at Palmer Lake, WA, boating, spending time in Winthrop, WA, and in his later days, relaxing with his beloved black cat.
Remaining to cherish Wayne’s memory are his daughters, Trisha Hurtado and Kristen Turner; grandson, Enzo Hurtado; great-grandchildren, sister, Sharon Peterson; and nephews, William Turner, Jeffrey Peters, Matthew Cooper, and Corey Brown.
Preceding Wayne in death are his brother, Jerry Turner; and parents, William “Bill” and Marion Turner.
Wayne’s final place of rest will be at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Lake Forest Park, Washington.
