Cynthia A. Messina

Born in Jersey City, to Barbara and Paul Phillips, she would go on to become a registered nurse. Cynthia worked at the Jersey City Medical Center until her retirement.

Beloved wife of Robert Messina; loving mother of Rachel, Elizabeth, John and his wife Jenna, Jason and his wife Pamela, Joey, Chris, and Bobby; adoring grandmother of Vincenzo, GianLuca, Aiden, Avery, Matthew, Andrew, Jonathan, Bobby, Jamie, Joanie, Aubrey, and Bryce; dear sister of Sharon Tabbacchino and her husband Ernie, Peter Phillips and his wife Angela, and Paul Philips; cherished niece Samantha, and nephew Matthew. Cynthia also leaves behind many loving close family members, friends, colleagues, and her faithful companions Portia and Bentley, and 3 cats.

A visitation for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, August 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey, 07094. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 2, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, New Jersey. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.
