Diana Anna Kirchoff

Diana Anna Cecilia Richterich Kirchoff, age 92, of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully Sunday, May 23, 2021. Diana was born February 15, 1929 and is survived by her loving children, Paul Kirchoff, Dallas Kirchoff, Jo Ann Hering, Laurie Vargas and many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her parents Edward and Anna “A” Richterich, her sisters and best friends Thelma Greenwald and Norma Williams, her brother “Buddy” Richterich, her most loving husband of 60 years William Kirchoff, and her son Daniel Kirchoff.

Diana was a child of The Great Depression and her legacy is one of resourcefulness and determination. She was a hard-working woman who had an exceptional eye for design, sewing her own vogue style fashions since the 1940’s and dressing so many happy brides, including both her daughters. In the early 1970’s she became a business owner and operator of the “Sew ‘n Sew” shop serving loyal customers in the town of Secaucus for over 30 years.

In her free time, she was always learning something new or finding the means to make-do, by fashioning something old into something new and beautiful. She will be fondly remembered by friends and family as a talented craftswoman and artist that leaves behind a body of work that fills the lives and homes of all those she loved with her paintings, fashion, stained glass, quilts and jewelry.

Diana was so very blessed to spend her final years in home hospice care with her loving daughter Laurie and the beloved, light in her life, grandson Patrick Vargas.

A visitation for Diana will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 9 to 11 AM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094. A Funeral Home Prayer Service will occur Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11AM, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094 followed by her burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey 07031-5314.
