Evelyn "Cookie" D'Alessandro

Evelyn M. “Cookie” D'Alessandro (nee Hoffman) 72, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Lake Hopatcong, NJ and Jersey City, NJ entered into rest on Saturday September 8, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Aurelio “Bill” D’Alessandro. Devoted mother of Toni Ann Abiva and her husband Julius, Victor D’Alessandro and his wife Annette and William D’Alessandro and his wife Christine. Loving grandmother of Mary-Luisa, Allison, Nicholas, Victoria, Josephine, Michael and Daniel. Dear sister of Carol Trusso and Lillian Hoffman. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Cookie was a loving, caring, compassionate and stubborn women who was always willing to help everyone. She was a huge Disney Fan and an avid reader who enjoyed learning and talking about history. Cookie also loved watching old movies and playing trivia games. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2012 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Thursday at 9 AM for a 10 AM funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
