Evelyn Mary Salch

On December 17, 2019, we lost a talented, intelligent, beautiful, and loving woman. Evelyn Mary Salch (nee Capomaggi) passed away at the age of 98 after a brief illness. Evelyn was born on March 27, 1921 and was a long term Secaucus resident. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 55 years (Warren Sr.), her four siblings Dena, Louis (Babe) and his wife Florence, Mary, and Alfred, and her younger son Robert. She is survived by her older son Warren Jr. and his wife Lorraine, her daughter-in-law Nancy, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, her sister-in law Claire, four nephews, her God Son Douglas Depice and his wife Marilyn.

Visitation will be at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ on Sunday, December 22, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at Mack Memorial Home on Monday, December 23 at 11 AM, and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a children’s charity of the donor’s choice.

Evelyn’s family wishes to thank Comfort Keepers Of Secaucus for assisting Evelyn in her daily home tasks and enabling her to fulfill her wish to remain in her own home for as long as possible. Special thanks to Edyth Shapiro and Marie Napolitano for their caring assistance, and to the Staff at Hackensack University Hospital for the medical care shown to Mom in her final days.
