Hristos Stathopoulos

Born in Analipsis, Greece on November 24, 1930 to the late Sotirios and Giannoula (Shizas) Stathopoulos, he was a shepherd in his early life in Greece and retired as a restaurant entrepreneur after moving to America in 1969. He had a passion for home cooked meals, music, dance, horses, farming, and above all, spending time with his family.

He was adored and survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Giannoula (Karelis) Stathopoulos ; sons Sotirios and his wife Connie; Athanasios and his wife Vas; and Konstantinos and his wife Ella; His daughter Soteria and her husband Kostantinos Trikkas, and daughter Spyrodoula (Sonia) and her husband Alexandros Raikos. He had 9 Grandchildren, Margarita-Gianna Raikos (James), Spyros Raikos, Christos Raikos, Demitra Trikkas (John ), Alexia Trikkas, Christina, Yianni, Maxim and Gianna. He had 4 great grandchildren Natasia, Alexandra, Christos, and Lambrini; His brother Antonios and his wife Angeliki. He is also survived by his sister in law Christina and was predecessed by his brother Konstantino. He is also survived by brothers in law Kosta Karelis and George Karelis, and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing for Hristos will be Sunday, January 21st, 2018; 3-7 pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ. A Church Service will be held on Monday January 22nd, 2018 at 11:30 am at The Greek Church of the Ascension, 101 Anderson Ave, Fairview, NJ. Intirment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. 742 Rutherford Ave, Lyndhurst, NJ
