Marie S. Westphal (nee Schouteet) 83, of Secaucus, NJ, formerly of North Bergen, NJ entered into rest on Saturday February 26, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Charles Westphal. Devoted mother of Christine Marie, Mark Lawerence and Steven Charles Westphal. Loving grandmother of Vincent, Christa, Ritchie, Steven, Matthew, Marie and Barbara. Dear sister-in-law of Elizabeth Tabasco. Marie was A Reading Specialist Teacher for the Union City Board of Education, she graduated from Hunter College and then received her Masters from Jersey City University. Marie was a Hudson County Democratic Committee Women and was a member of the Secaucus Housing Authority. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives & friends on Wednesday at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Funeral Service. Entombment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.
