Michael J. Marra

Michael J. Marra, age 96, of Secaucus passed away on Saturday December 21. Michael was born in Secaucus to the late Gerard A. Marra Sr.and his wife Ida where he became a lifelong resident. He is the co-owner along with his 2 brothers of Marra Drugs where he was a Pharmacist before retiring in 1994. Michael is a World War II Army Veteran where he earned 2 purple hearts. He is a member of the Secaucus American Legion, Secaucus Unico, The Knights of Columbus of Secaucus, The American Heart Association, and a past president of the Secaucus Board of Education.

Michael is survived by his children, Michele Tognella and her husband Raymond, Linda Marra, Donna Segro and her husband Robert, Joseph M. Marra and his wife Maryanna, and Joann Bernstein and her husband Norm; Grandchildren, Raymond and his wife Tracey, Lauren and her husband Christopher, Jenna and her husband Michael, Alexa and her husband John, Robbie and his fiancé Amy, Jake, Tyler, Joseph, and Lea; Great Grandchildren, Christopher, Jack, Gianna, and Nicholas; Brother, Gerard Marra and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Michael is predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years Leanora (Arena) Marra, his son Michael G. Marra, and his siblings, Josephine and Angelo.

A visitation for Michael will be held Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 3 PM to 7 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:30am Friday, December 27 followed by the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers donation made be made to the American Cancer Society in his Honor.
