Olga C. Ortega

Olga C. Ortega, born April 28, 1931, passed on April 17, 2026, at the age of 94. Olga was born in Havana, Cuba, to the late Jesus Curros and Delores Casares Iglesias and lived there before moving and becoming a lifelong resident of Union City, New Jersey, in 1973. She was a Plant Manager for Danara International in North Bergen for 30 years before retiring in 1998 and a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Church Alter Rosary and the Legion of Mary.

Olga was the loving wife of the late Isidro Ortega, who passed away in 1981; cherished mother of Ernesto "Ernie" Ortega and his wife Doreen, and the late Isidro Ortega Jr.; devoted grandmother of Jillian and her husband Thomas, and Jennifer and her husband Julio; loving great grandmother of Gabriella, Arlo, and Lia.

A Visitation will be held at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 4 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 615 8th St, Union City, NJ, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 10:30 am followed by her Burial at Weehawken Cemetery, 4000 Bergen Turnpike, North Bergen, NJ.
