Paul Louis Phillips Sr., 81 of Secaucus, NJ, formerly of Jersey City and North Bergen, NJ passed away suddenly during Cardiac Surgery on Wednesday October 15, 2014. Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Barbara (Petrie) Phillips who was the joy and love of his life. Loving son of the late Edward & Anna Phillips. Devoted father of Cynthia Messina and her husband Bobby, Sharon Tabbacchino and her husband Ernie, Paul Louis Phillips Jr. and his wife Jennifer and Peter Phillips and his wife Angela. Adored Grandfather of Elizabeth Petrella, John Petrella Jr.,Cristina Casagrande, Rachel Messina, Johanna, Shannon, Samantha, Matthew & Ava Phillips and the late Amanda Quesada. Dear brother of Raymond Phillips and his wife Joan, Ronald Phillips and his wife Susan and the late Edward Phillips Jr. Brother-in-law of Lorraine Luzzi and Lawrence and Carol Petrie. Paul is also survived by many nieces & nephews and his beloved friend Gloria Giordano and her family as well as his friends at 600 County Rd. Visitation will be held Friday October 17, 2014 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Saturday at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul may be made to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,34th Street & Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104 in loving memory of his beloved granddaughter Amanda Quesada.
