Peter F. Allen

Peter F. Allen, 60, of Waldwick, NJ entered into rest surrounded by his family on Sunday August 18, 2013. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Koerner) Allen. Devoted Step-Father of Stephanie and Nicholas D'Amelio who lived with Peter for the past eleven years in Waldwick along with their rescue dogs Roxy, Harley, Jesse and Skyler. Peter is also survived by his mother Despina Kovelkoski; his daughters Stacy Allen-Boice, Krissa Allen; his grandchildren Brittanie, Kyla, Sara and Kellie; his great grandchild Julian; his brother John Faison and his sister Rene Despiris. Peter was employed by Hillside Board of Education where he worked as a middle school science teacher and was the drama club director. Peter was a professional Musician and talented singer in a band. During the summer, he worked the NY Renaissance Faire as a Pirate for McNeal Enterprises. He had a passion for saving animals and in his spare time volunteered to transport dogs for a rescue group. Peter loved life and lived it to the fullest. Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday August 22, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM with a 7:30 PM Memorial Service at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ (201-664-0292). Cremation was private.
