

Rizal, also known as Riz, was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was the youngest child of Sabina and Elias Lacambra. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, he taught at the Sta. Maria Bulacan High School. After a few of years of guiding, mentoring, and developing hundreds of students, he decided to move to Manila and start working as an Accountant and Auditor at the Central Bank of the Philippines until he retired as the Chief Auditor. After immigrating to the United States, he continued working as an Auditor/Inventory Specialist in a medical supply company.
He served in the Couples for Christ program with his wife, Lovy, where they provided spiritual guidance, support, and real-life experiences to younger couples to strengthen their family and enhance their relationship with Christ. Retiring from his professional life in 2015, the joy of Rizal’s life was his family.
He is a man of few words and loved to read and was a life-long learner. He enjoyed playing chess with his children. He also taught his children the value of hardwork, education, and family. Furthermore, he loved gardening and watching basketball.
Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Lovina D. Lacambra; amazing and devoted father of Lizel Lacambra, Ana Lizza L. Locsin and her husband Martin, and Leah L. Palileo and her husband Victorino; cherished and generous grandfather of Luke and Frances Ann Locsin, and Leanne Palileo. He is predeceased by his wife, Lovy; brothers, Tirso Lacambra, Bonifacio Lacambra, Enrique Lacambra and Antonio Lacambra; and sisters Florencia Lacambra, Ma. Dolores Lacambra Adri, Marina Lacambra and Crispina Lacambra.
A visitation for Riz will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey, 07094. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 17, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, New Jersey. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.
