

Bob was born on September 8, 1939 to Carmelo and Rosalie Campanella (Giammocaro) and was a lifelong resident of Secaucus. He served his country proud in the US Army Signal Corp. Bob was self employed as a mortgage broker and retired in 1998. Mr. Campanella was a former member of the Secaucus Board of Education, served as a Secaucus Councilman, and Commissioner of the Secaucus Housing Authority, and current parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an honorary member of Secaucus Hose Company #2. Bob dedicated his life to making Secaucus a place where people felt safe. Bob was proud to be a member of this community and worked tirelessly to improve community services. Bob “loved” Secaucus. He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother; Thomas Campanella. Surviving him is his beloved wife of 45 years Anita (Clementoni) Campanella, two daughters; Coreen and Laura Campanella, a sister; Genevieve Hausler, a brother; Joseph Campanella, and many other family members and friends. Bob will be sadly missed. Family and friends are invited Monday, April 9, 2012 from 5-9 pm to Mack Memorial Home 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ. A 10 am Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, from Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
