Robert Anthony Hartung Jr., age 54, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Robert was born on February 19, 1968, in Hoboken, NJ to Robert A. Hartung Sr. and Carol (Weber) Hartung. He grew up in Secaucus and was a graduate of Secaucus High School before moving to Brooklyn, NY. Rob was a Registered Nurse who loved helping those in need, most recently at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. He is survived by his life partner of 25 years, Brian Manfredi; parents Robert Sr. and Carol Hartung; siblings Donna Freeswick and Bill, and Michael Hartung and Sue; and nieces and nephews Melissa Freeswick-Magro and John Magro, Billy Freeswick, Jessica Freeswick, and Taylor, Brooke, Somer, and Michael Hartung Jr. Rob was passionate about staying in touch with friends and sharing his sense of humor, kindness, and generosity with those around him.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 pm - 6 pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. A Funeral Home prayer service will occur Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mack Memorial Home followed by his committal service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ.
