Belinda Marie Carnell, MaComb resident, passed away January 7, 2013 at the age of 56. She was born July 15, 1956 to Chester Leroy & Rosetta Marie (Tucker) Nichols in Enid Oklahoma. She grew up in Oklahoma, and later served in the United States Army. She married Michael Carnell in 1979 and celebrated 33 years of marriage. She had a career in law enforcement and retired from the Pottawatomie County Sheriffs office after 11 years of service. She is preceded in death by her father; Chester Nichols, and an infant brother; Anthony Nichols. She is survived by her husband; Mike Carnell of the home, her 3 children; Brandi Carnell of MaComb, Justin Carnell, US Army stationed in Korea, and Christopher Carnell of Tennessee, her mother; Rosetta and husband James B. Sloan, her 2 sisters; Sharlet Flick and Cynthia Robertson, her 2 brothers; Michael Nichols and Timothy Nichols, and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday evening until 8 PM and Friday from 8AM to 8PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. A Private family service will be held.
