

William “Bill” Christie, 82, passed from this world on Mar 14, 2016. He was a “Halloween” baby born in Warren, Pennsylvania on Oct 31, 1933. He graduated from Warren High School in 1951 and worked as a draftsman in Warren, PA. He was drafted into the US Army. He served 11 years which included a tour in Vietnam in 1967. On his return from Vietnam, he was honorably discharged and took a job as a civilian employee working for the US Army. He worked in the field of electronics at the Tobyhanna, PA Army Depot and later at the Sacramento, CA Army Depot, including a civilian tour in Korea from 1986-1988. In 2002, after his retirement, he moved to Oklahoma to be closer to family members.
Bill married Luisa Armamento Beeson in January of 2011 in Tecumseh, OK. They had 5 wonderful years together. Their love for one another saved his life after the passing of his wife, ‘Pat’, of 50 years. He had many interests including rooting for the Pittsburg Pirates baseball and Steeler football teams, dancing with Luisa and driving his car.
He is was preceded in death by his wife Joan “Pat” Christie, his sister Janet Meley of Warren, PA, and his parents Vincent and Charlotta Christie of Warren, PA. He is survived by his wife Luisa Christie of McLoud, his twin sons and their spouses Michael and Elsie Christie of Shawnee, and Mark and Yvonne Christie of Tobyhanna, PA; his grandchildren Kim and Jim Gillen of Palmerton, PA, Matthew Christie of Tobyhanna, PA and Alex Christie of Shawnee: his step daughter Marlyn and Michael Marriott of Tulsa, OK and Maricon McLaughlin of Oahu, Hawaii. He is also survived by his sister Claudia Jackson of Murphys, CA and many other family & friends from everywhere including Oklahoma, California, and Pennsylvania.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Broadway United Methodist Church, 302 S. Broadway Tecumseh, Oklahoma 74873.
